Burnout is Your Body Telling You to Stop Lying
You are not burned out because you cannot handle life. You are burned out because you have been living out of alignment with your Human Design Type.

Hey y'all, this is Dr. Naima. Welcome to the house of T Podcast. It's a long time coming. And if you click play today, I know this is landing somewhere deep in your body. Because this is not just another conversation about burnout. Blah, blah, blah. This is about what happens when your body is tired of lying for you. When you have said yes too many times, when you have swallowed too much truth, when you have stayed in rooms that no longer fit. Today we're going to talk about what burnout really is. But we're going to also bring in something that most people are not talking about. We're going to talk about how your human design connects to this and why nervous system healing, not mindset, is the way through. So take a breath. Sell it in. Let's go in. Burnout is what happens when your body is tired of lying. Some of you are listening right now. You're like, what the fuck does she mean? Lying? But you're holding on to so many lies in your body that you can barely breathe. You're saying yes when you're gut is saying, hell no. You're staying in rooms where your soul is shrinking, yet you're still not fucking accepted. You are performing strength because they taught you that rest was weakness. And here's the truth no one talks about. Burnout in human design. misalignment can't be separated. When you move against your design, your body will inevitably shut down every time. So let me be clear, projectors, mangines, and generators. If you are a projector, this looks like trying to force a path that was never meant to be pushed. Generators? This looks like chasing yeses and acceptance that your gut has already rejected. Man gins, come closer, come closer. For you, it looks like pushing through things. Your energy has already let go of, Holding on to those oppressive ass relationships shall I like to get into. Romantic, family, and otherwise. But let me be real clear. You are not broken. But your body is done plain along with the lies. So let's talk about it. I want to tell you something. I don't think I've ever said out loud on a mic. There was a time when the bitterness I was carrying didn't just live in my body. It started living in my mothering. I was holding together a life that was suffocating me. trying to be the wife I was supposed to be. trying to be the registered nurse and the professor. I was supposed to be. trying to be the strong, got it all together daughter who never needed rest. Never need a softness. And that bitterness, it leaked straight into how I mothered my children. But the one who caught it the most was my oldest daughter. Because when you're living out of alignment with your design, when you are forcing and pushing and performing just to survive, you don't have space for softness. You don't have space for difference. You definitely don't have space for that free expression of that child who has the nerve to be free when you can't be. And so I tried to fit my daughter into the same box that I was fucking suffocating in. Anything she did... felt like a threat to the image I was trying to hold together. Because let me be frank, it was a fucking image. Nothing was good enough. She didn't feel safe to be herself around me because of my burnout, because of me living out of alignment as a projector. She didn't feel safe to speak up around me. And when she became an adult, she went no contact. How's that for boundaries? And let me tell you, that broke me. Not just because I missed her, which I did. but because it forced me to face the truth. I wasn't just burned out in my body. I was burned out in my relationship. relationships. And I would tell you the truth. It wasn't therapy alone that got me back to myself. Thery was a part of it. It wasn't those self help books I read.. It was me finally learning that I was a human design projector. I had to learn as a projector that or how to stop forcing, how to rest. how to honor what my energy was actually built to hold and what it wasn't. And as I healed, so did the relationship with my baby. Yeah, she's an adult, but she's always my baby. That's my navia. My name is Zavia, so I call her my navia. I'm just smiling. I had to pause and smile because it feels good right now. I've learned the honor of my body. We are in relationship now from such a healed place. from a place where she gets to be herself. and I get to mother from who I actually am. not from a performance that once led to burn out. And living my projector design was the key key. This is why I said earlier that you can't separate burnout in human design misalignment. You can't separate the two. Because when you move against your design and we' going to get a little deeper here, the body will shut down. But when you come back into alignment with your body, healing begins. So for you, it may look different. We're not the same person. So even if you're a fellow projector, maybe you've been trying to force and initiate and grind just to feel worthy. Now you're bitter as fuck. Bitterness is you're not self. That's how you know you're not in alignment. And a resentment that bitterness is sitting in your chest and leaking into your relationships. If you are a generator, maybe you've been saying yes to every demand, every request, every role, even when your body is screaming, no. And now you feel a deep sense of dissatisfaction. You're not self theme, how you know you are in misignment. And now you're so over committed that there's nothing left for you. If you are a manifesting generator, maybe you've been pushing yourself to finish things, your energy has long since said, no, I'm done. because you don't want to be seen as inconsistent or flaky. Now, you're in a deep, deep dissatisfaction in anger, which are your not self themes, how you know you're not in alignment. and the exhaustion is eating you alive. But regardless of your type, I need you to hear this. I said this in the beginning, and I said this and I'm gonna say again now. You are not broken. You are not something to be fixed. assist, your body is done. No planner is going to fix this. No mindset hack is going to fix this because burnout is not in your mind. It is in your fucking body, in the crevices of your nervous system. It is in the places where you have been lying to yourself just to survive. And I say this with all the love and all the side eye. as I hold your hand. You have done enough. You have held enough. It is time to move differently. In the moment you start moving in alignignment with your human design, the moment you start to honor your energy type, your nervous system rhythm, your authority, which is your body's intuition. The more we're gonna talk about that in the next episode. Burnout begins to release his grips. But no, I'm not selling you a pipe dream. I'm not going to say you you're going to live in design today and all of a sudden everything goes back to this perfect thing. Nope. This is not a overnight. This does not require perfectionism, but it requires you to start. And when you start, the healing ripples out. not just in your body, but in your relationships, in your parenting, in your purpose. So what do you do with all this? Where do you even begin to notice where this is showing up in your life? Don't worry. I'm going to give you three places to start paying attention to just this week, right? This week, I just want you to pay attention, jot shit down, create voice notes, however you like to just keep a record of things. Because awareness is the key to beginning this journey. First, your yeses. I want you to start noticing where you are saying yes, when your body is tight, when your chest is heavy, when your gut is tense. I want you to notice when you start saying yes, when a long side follows. Okay, I'll do it. That is literally your body telling you that you are holding something that is not yours to carry. But to do this thing, that's not yours. But it's my mom. Who gives a fuck? But it's Who cares? Those excuses are why you're here, or why you're burned out in the first place. Just pay attention to it. I'm not saying to change it. Just pay attention to it. The second place you're going to start to pay attention to is your energy leaks. Pay attention. to where you feel you're not self-themed. So projectors, pay attention to what makes you feel bitter, the thing that makes you want to say something. That's not always kind, but it's true. Generators, pay attention to where you feel that deep sense of, oh, I have obligation and dissatisfaction. I feel I got to do this for this person. Manifesting generators, pay attention to where you are holding space for people who are breaking you the fuck down and therefore you become angry and dissatisfied with them after they've done the thing. Pay attention to those places. This is not alignment. This is survival. I know you tired of surviving. I hope you're ready to thrive and live because because that's what we're here to do at the House of Ta. Third, the third thing I want you to pay attention to is your rhythm. Where are you pushing yourself to move faster, harder, longer than your body actually wants to? Because when you override your rhythm, burnout is guaranteed. Sis, when I start when I tell you I've done all these things, my podcast and everything I do is because I've lived this shit, I started to realize that I was eating fast, washing dishes fast, walking fast, even when I didn't really have a place to go. Just being aware of you is the beginning. But let me be clear. You don't have to fix it all today. Because remember, you're not broken. You're not fixing anything. You're just being aware of it. You don't have to get it perfect. The moment perfectionism steps in because if you're like me and you're attracted to my in, you are the old me. Perfectionism is key for you, which sucks and and it makes you think you can have control. I want you to go look in the mirror and go, stop it and just laugh. Lighten up. No human is perfect. But awareness is the beginning of change. And the the deeper work, how to actually move through this, how to live your design in your body. That is what we do inside of the House of Ta.
